Privacy

What we collect, what we store, and what stays in your browser.

What we store

When you upload or paste an OpenAPI specification on apidex, it stays in your browser unless you explicitly create a shareable link. Creating a shareable link uploads the spec to our servers so the recipient can load it.

If you protect a shared link with a password, the password is stored as a salted hash. We can never read the original password.

What we don't store

We don't require accounts, so there's no profile data, email, or billing information collected to use apidex. We don't persist requests you make from the playground — they go directly from your browser to the API server you target.

Analytics

We may use privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics to understand which features are useful and which pages break. We don't sell, share, or rent any data we collect.

Removing a shared spec

You can remove a spec you shared at any time. Once removed, the link stops working immediately and the underlying document is deleted from our storage.
